Activists have long been a thorn in boards’ sides, and they will likely increase their pressure in 2016 as their assets grow. Lately, however, directors have been encouraged to think like an activist in order to reform companies, which may also lead to more consensus between the two sides. In this webcast, our panelists will discuss how boards can best respond to activists through a combination of genuine engagement and defense of boards’ positioning.
